World Series Scores on Mac: Track Game 4 Without Tabs
2026 World Series Game 4: Brewers at Rays tonight (Oct 27, 8 p.m. ET). Why pinned ESPN stays blank, and a Mac widget setup for MLB scores, news and fan reactions.
Game 4 of the 2026 World Series puts the Milwaukee Brewers at the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. ET from Tropicana Field, on Fox, FOX One and FOX Deportes. For fans outside the Eastern time zone, first pitch is mid-evening, late night or Wednesday morning.
To follow the score and the noise without a stream or a score app open all night, put four things one shortcut away on your Mac: a scores widget, an MLB news feed, a team or #WorldSeries2026 keyword watch, and an optional series-odds or countdown widget. The same panel pattern already works for Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football and the NBA season.

What happened in Games 1–3
Milwaukee took the first two games at home, then carried a blowout into Game 3 on the road. Series status as of press time: Brewers lead 2–0 after Games 1–2, with Game 3 still in progress at research time.
| Game | Date | Result (as of press) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Fri, Oct 23 | MIL 3, TB 2 | Brewers lead series 1–0 |
| 2 | Sat, Oct 24 | MIL 5, TB 4 | Brewers lead series 2–0 |
| 3 | Mon, Oct 26 | MIL 10, TB 0 (live mid-game) | Tropicana Field · Fox · ESPN event 401908044 |
| 4 | Tue, Oct 27 | Brewers at Rays, 8:00 p.m. ET | Tropicana Field · Fox · ESPN event 401908045 |
Game 3 was still live when this piece was researched. A check of the ESPN Game 3 page around that time had Milwaukee up 10–0 in the fifth or sixth inning. Open that link for the live or final total rather than treating this paragraph as a final.
Scoring sample from that ESPN boxscore through the early-middle innings:
| Inning | Play | Score (MIL–TB) |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | Yelich RBI single; Contreras RBI single | 2–0 |
| 5 | Eight-run outburst (Turang 2R single, Mitchell RBI, Pratt 2R double, Frelick double, Hamilton single, Chourio double) | 10–0 |
Regular-season records heading into the Series: Brewers 103–59, Rays 98–64. Google Trends US interest clustered around Brewers, Brewers-Rays and World Series; X US trends at research time included Brewers, #WorldSeries2026, The Rays and Jackson Chourio.
A World Series night is one national game after a long October. A panel you open over whatever you are doing is built for that rhythm — and it carries into Game 5 if the series stays open.
First pitch in your zone
Game 4 first pitch is Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern (2026-10-28T00:00Z). The US was still on daylight time (EDT / CDT / PDT). Europe had already moved clocks back early on October 25, so UK and Central Europe were on winter time for this start.
| City | First-pitch local time |
|---|---|
| New York (EDT) | Tue, 8:00 p.m. |
| Chicago (CDT) | Tue, 7:00 p.m. |
| Los Angeles (PDT) | Tue, 5:00 p.m. |
| London (GMT) | Wed, 12:00 a.m. |
| Berlin / Paris (CET) | Wed, 1:00 a.m. |
| Beijing | Wed, 8:00 a.m. |
| Tokyo (JST) | Wed, 9:00 a.m. |
| Sydney (AEDT) | Wed, 11:00 a.m. |
For much of Asia and Australia, Game 4 lands in the Wednesday morning work block. Europe is already on winter time after the October 25 change; the US flips on November 1, so recheck times that week if the Series stretches.
Why a pinned scoreboard page often stays blank
The obvious idea is to pin ESPN's MLB scoreboard or the game page in a web-view widget. It often does not work: ESPN's MLB scoreboard and game pages tell browsers not to show them inside another app's frame (frame-ancestors limited to ESPN properties; re-checked October 27, 2026). That is the same pattern called out in the SNF tracker, the TNF tracker and the NBA season tracker. Kepo's guide for its web-view widget warns about exactly this: some sites block embedding and the widget stays blank.
So build the scores widget from data instead of from the page, and use feeds for the news.
Set up a World Series tracker in Kepo
Kepo keeps small widgets in a floating panel you open with a global shortcut, over any app, including full-screen ones. Four widgets cover a Series night, and the same panel works for Game 5 if you need it.
![]()
1. Tonight's score (built with AI)
Kepo has no fixed MLB plugin, so describe the widget you want. Name the source, the fields and the refresh:
- Prompt example: "Show tonight's MLB World Series game from a public scoreboard source: both teams, the score, the inning and outs, or the first-pitch time in my time zone if the game has not started. Put my team first. Refresh every 2 minutes while a game is live."
- Check it: compare the first result with ESPN or the league scoreboard before you rely on it, and keep the widget to one game.
2. MLB news feed
- Widget: RSS Reader, which reads one RSS or Atom feed.
- Feed URL:
https://www.espn.com/espn/rss/mlb/news(ESPN's MLB headlines feed, returning game and Series news on October 27). - What it shows: the newest headlines with links, such as lineup notes before first pitch and recaps after the final out.
3. Brewers, Rays or #WorldSeries2026 on X
- Widget: X Keyword Watch from the X widgets.
- Keyword: one team or tag, for example
Brewers,Rays,Jackson Chourioor#WorldSeries2026. - What it shows: the latest posts from X's Live results for that keyword. Sign in to X first for reliable results.
4. Series champion odds (optional)
- Widget: Event Probability from the Polymarket widgets.
- Event slug:
mlb-world-series-champion-2026, the Polymarket World Series champion market for 2026 (verified via Polymarket's gamma API). At research time Brewers were priced near ~95.6% and Rays near ~4.05% (outcomePrices); those numbers move, so treat the widget as a glance, not a tip. - What it shows: each side's current probability in that market. The widget is read-only and places no trades; prices can move quickly.
Optional: a countdown to Game 4 or Game 5
Add an Event Timer countdown named WS Game 4 or Next Series game. The countdown runs for a length of time from when you save it, so pick Hour or Day as the unit and enter the time left. It is a display only and sends no reminder.
Score apps and tabs vs one shortcut panel

| Tabs and phone apps | Kepo panel | |
|---|---|---|
| Live score | Reload a page or unlock your phone | Scores widget refreshes on its own |
| Lineup and recap news | Scroll a site's front page | One feed, newest first |
| Reactions | X tab you keep scrolling | Keyword widget, glance and close |
| During work | Switch away from your app | One shortcut over the app, one to hide |
Keep the panel small. One scores widget and one news feed answer most Series nights; add the keyword and odds widgets only if you check them. The same pattern works for SNF, TNF and the NBA season if you follow more than one sport.

FAQ
What time is World Series Game 4 tonight?
Game 4 (Brewers at Rays) is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET on October 27, 2026, from Tropicana Field on Fox / FOX One / FOX Deportes (first pitch 2026-10-28T00:00Z; ESPN event 401908045). Convert with the table above for your city; later Series games shift after the US changes clocks on November 1 if the Series is still going.
Is there an MLB scores widget for Mac?
macOS has no built-in MLB scores widget. With Kepo you can describe one to its AI builder, using a public scoreboard as the source, and keep it next to a news feed in one panel.
Can I pin ESPN's MLB scoreboard in a widget?
You can try, but ESPN's MLB scoreboard and game pages block being shown inside another app's frame, so a web-view widget may stay blank. A widget built from score data, plus an RSS feed for news, is more reliable.
Will the widget alert me when the game ends?
The widgets in this setup are for glancing: open the panel and see the current state. They do not send notifications by themselves.
What about Game 5?
The same panel works for the next Series game. Swap the scores prompt and keyword if needed; keep the ESPN MLB feed. Check ESPN or MLB.com for the confirmed date and first-pitch time once Game 4 is final.
Get set up for the World Series
Set it up once and reuse it through October: a scores widget, the ESPN MLB feed, one keyword watch, and series odds if you want them, all behind one shortcut. Download Kepo for your Apple silicon Mac and add the first widget in a few minutes.
